House K01, Balle-Valle

House K01 is traditional stone house, a part of a diffuse hotel, located in the medieval ambience of the Old Town Balle in the Istrian countryside.
Respectful of the aesthetic constraints and wishes of the clients the house was designed to be an intimate refuge– one that would respect the site and the architectural history of the region. The existing structure was carefully restored and well preserved.
The house is divided into public spaces in the ground floor and private rooms with wellness area in the upper floors.
Through different materials and wall finishes we made a connection with modern villas of diffuse hotel near the Old center of Balle. The interiors and the furniture were designed and chosen especially for this hotel in order to achieve a distinct and recognizable identity.
