Funnel

Funnel was created for the Melba Design Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria. Wolfram Lighting’s lead designer, Ivan Pramov, was invited by curator Dima Stefanova to participate in a project pairing Bulgarian designers with local manufacturers, encouraging the creation of entirely new products using existing expertise.

Ivan collaborated with Bonana, a company traditionally focused on chair manufacturing, to produce Funnel – a striking, multifunctional object that blurs the line between sculpture, lighting, and utility. The vision behind Funnel was to create an object that is simultaneously sculptural, an ambient light source, and a functional coat hanger.

Crafted from black steel and textile, Funnel is visually bold yet thoughtfully designed. It can be fully dismantled and packed into a compact box for easy storage or transport. Funnel stands as a testament to the potential of aesthetic and design-driven experimentation.
