Vistier 13 by Architectonic Design Studio

The project reactivates a historically layered interior dating back to 1894, transforming a neglected space into a contemporary, wine-focused hospitality venue while preserving its architectural identity. Although not officially listed as heritage, the building retains distinctive features of Neo-Romanian architecture, including solid brick masonry and original structural columns. The design approach prioritized the recovery and expression of the existing material fabric, with brick identified as the central architectural element.

Restoration works included cleaning and stabilizing the masonry using hydraulic lime mortar, alongside targeted structural and spatial upgrades. Within 150 sqm, the interior was reorganized into two main rooms connected by a restored brick archway, complemented by the bar, kitchen, and service areas. The intervention balances historical character with contemporary functionality, emphasizing adaptive reuse, material authenticity, and the creation of a warm, immersive atmosphere defined by light, texture, and spatial continuity.
