The Rialto terrazzo tile series is a project that reimagines the modern production method of terrazzo flooring, also known as “Palladiana.” The project consists of 6 designs that draw inspiration from decorative and cultural elements of the city of Venice:
- Barena: the marshy areas of the Venice lagoon
- Laguna: the stylized shape of the city of Venice
- Carnevale: the confetti left on the ground during the famous Venice Carnival
- Sventola: the fans of the wealthy Venetian ladies
- Patera: the stylization of low circular relief ornaments typical of Venice
- Autunno: represents piles of leaves on the ground during the autumn season
