Közlekedési Múzeum Bringára fel! kiállítása – The Hungarian Museum of Technology and Transport: The Cycling Shift! Temporary Exhibition design
We were commissioned to design an exhibition showcasing the history of cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation, along with its installation. The venue for the exhibition was the imposing, now-abandoned Old Northern Vehicle Assembly Hall. For this low-budget exhibition installation, the goal was to reuse building materials from previous exhibitions in such a way that they could be partially reused in the ‘Energy Mix’ exhibition we designed later. The exhibition’s content was displayed on a painted OSB strip mounted on rebar. Meanwhile, the exhibition’s objects – the bicycles – were presented, suspended like a chandelier, as their primary components, such as the chain and wheel spokes, are drawn structures.
