The owners of this house are drawn to the tranquility of the nearby cemetery and lush forest that frames the property. The core of the design was to create a bright, open living space that connects visually with the surrounding greenery, allowing the interior to fully embrace the peaceful, natural setting. Perched on a one-way street with a constrained entrance, the house addresses this by raising the living space to the second floor, aligning it with the cemetery level.

The design explores the interplay of spatial compression and expansion, guiding residents from intimate, enclosed areas to generous, open volumes. In the living room, subtly lifted side walls frame views of the surrounding trees, reinforcing an immersive connection to nature. A slanted screen, which also serves as the roof, softens the street presence while asserting a confident architectural identity. It also functions structurally, lifting the house above the ground to create an airy, open living environment.

House of Endless Trees is a harmonious exploration of space and context, a home where architecture meets nature, offering a seamless balance between functional living and serene contemplation.
