Consistently planned as mono-material and fully demountable: The single-family house is based on a timber load-bearing structure with timber–clay hybrid elements, solid timber slab floors, and beam ceilings. The external walls are insulated with blown-in straw, while the interior surfaces are covered with three-layer timber panels – without composite materials or membranes.
Interior finishes consist of spruce paneling, clay plaster, and natural building materials in dry construction. The roof structure is designed without an underlay roof and is covered with natural slate. The bathroom deliberately avoids artificial waterproofing; the shower is made of stainless steel, the bathtub of wood. Floors, doors, and built-in furniture are solid wood. Heating is provided by a ground-source heat pump with deep boreholes. An additional wood-burning stove extends the kitchen block. A project conceived in the spirit of circular, future-oriented timber construction.
