Situated on a sunny slope in a quiet villa district of Wiesbaden, this residence was designed for a young family of five. Toward the street, the house presents a restrained, introverted façade. A generous, lavender garden forms a soft transition to the public realm. A continuous glass band clearly separates ground and upper floor, making the rendered upper volume appear to float above the solid base.

This effect is reinforced by the contrast between grey clinker brick below and smooth, rendered surfaces above. A masonry wall encloses the ground floor, terrace, and pool, creating privacy. The glass band provides even, indirect daylight, while shielding views from the street. Only the garden façade opens fully, offering wide views. Full-height glazing and extending walls create seamless indoor–outdoor transitions. In summer, large sliding doors open to form a continuous living space where architecture and landscape merge. The outdoor area extends the interior, while walls define distinct zones around terrace and pool.
