Blagoja Bajkovski

Blagoja Bajkovski is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje. After graduating from the same faculty, he began his academic career as a teaching assistant in Architectural Design, while simultaneously working on residential projects in Skopje.

In 2014, he completed his Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture and Urbanism at Politecnico di Milano with the thesis Building as a Topographical Form. Total Theatre Berlin. In 2020, he obtained his PhD at Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria with the dissertation Operative Atlas of Brutalist Skopje: A Graphic Biography of 15 Architectures.

From 2013 to 2016, he collaborated with Politecnico di Milano (Piacenza campus), and from 2016 to 2020 he was a junior researcher at Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. He is a member of the research laboratory landscape\_inProgress and a participant in the COST Action CA18126 Writing Urban Places.

His research focuses on architectural typology and Brutalism. He participated in the 16th and 18th International Architecture Exhibitions – La Biennale di Venezia and was curator and author of the Macedonian Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (2025) with the project Strada Brutalissima.
