The two Viennese architecture offices Franz and Sue joined forces in 2017. Since then Franz&Sue has been constantly growing.

We, the five founding partners at Franz&Sue - Christian Ambos, Michael Anhammer, Robert Diem, Harald Höller and Erwin Stättner, first met during our studies in architecture at TU Wien. After graduation we founded two independent architecture practices in Vienna: one as Franz, the other as Sue. In our legendary Fight Club discussion rounds we realised that not only do we share the same approach to architecture, but we also speak the same language when it comes to our business culture and our commitment to building culture. Then, in May 2017, we merged to form Franz&Sue.

In 2025, we broadened our management team with the long-term goal of ensuring that Franz&Sue continues to exist beyond the founding generation. Björn Haunschmid-Wakolbinger and Corinna Toell become shareholders and strengthen the management team of the founding partners. Maren Fellner, Head of Human Resource Management, is another experienced employee who will contribute her expertise to the management team as a partner. And we have found four associates in an open application process: Martino Libisch, Alexandra Pall, Johanna Rilling and Thomas Rögelsperger will develop strategic topics at Franz&Sue together with the partners alongside their project work.
