
Ema Alihodžić Jašarović

Architect and educator, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Montenegro. Through innovative workshop practice with students, she reviews interesting topics that fluctuate in the field of architecture and design (Mock up/ Junk lab, Toilet (re)volution, Pimp my roof…). In the role of mentor, she led several notable international student workshops: Architectural Student Congress ex Yu; EASA Montenegro (Burning Easa 2021), where the result was a critical conceptual installation of a 700 m2 of black nylon, which at the end of the exhibition was melted down and turned into the first Montenegrin recycled chair (Burning chair); Ludis in Sale – a pavilion made of over 600 salt cubes (Nantes, France, 2024).
Independently or in a team, participates in many international architectural exhibitions, where they also win several important awards (Salon of Architecture of Montenegro (2022 and 2024), Novi Sad (2022), BAB (2015, 2017, 2021, 2023). She is part of the selection and editorial team for the documentary film Decoding Montenegro, and she is the selector of the Balkan Architecture Biennale 2025. From 2018 to 2022, she was Vice President of the Association of Architects of Montenegro. She is part of the creative team that started the non-institutional cultural center Kolektor in the former Titex factory. She is one of the founders of the first Montenegrin center for creative waste O5LAB. You can find her on a bicycle or in isolation in the Chedo house, between the mountains and the sea.
