Woodio is a modern interior and design brand that combines the best of Nordic design traditions with a sustainable, biomaterial innovation. At the core of all our products is Woodio® material – a fully waterproof wood composite that offers a more ecological alternative to ceramics and stone, with up to an 80% smaller carbon footprint. Blossom is one of our 13 nature-inspired colors, and one of our most beloved shades, also gaining admiration internationally.

Originally designed in 2023 for Finnish shoe designer Minna Parikka’s pink summer house, Villa Luella, Blossom draws inspiration from lush flower fields and the soft hues of Nordic nature. It is a gentle pink tone that brings warmth, calmness, and a subtle sense of playfulness to interior spaces. The color was updated in spring 2025 with a new semi-matte finish as part of the renewed Soft basin collection. It reflects our carefully curated color palette, where expressive tones meet more muted, harmonious shades, allowing versatile use across both private and public environments.

The semi-matte finish enhances the natural texture of our wood composite, highlighting the organic feel of the material while creating a soft, contemporary aesthetic. At the same time, the surface is dirt-repellent and easy to maintain, supporting long-lasting use. Blossom is made from responsibly and locally sourced aspen wood chips. All wood is sourced from nearby PEFC- and FSC-certified forests, and the chips are dyed in-house at our factory using non-toxic, water-based stains.

All our products are designed in Finland in collaboration with our long-term design partner, Pentagon Design. Together, we ensure a consistent design language that emphasizes the unique character of our material, while prioritizing usability, durability, and timelessness. Blossom represents our approach to responsible design – where sustainable materials, thoughtful color design, and Nordic aesthetics come together to create meaningful everyday experiences.
