Varna Bus-Station

Varna Bus Station is located in the geometric center of the city, near a major roundabout connecting two main arteries – Vasil Levski and Vladislav Varnenchik boulevards. The high permeability of these boulevards ensures quick and direct access from all residential areas, as well as excellent connections to the airport and railway station.

The station features 12 sectors for arriving and departing buses, along with 35 parking spaces for waiting buses and vans. While the new building is similar in size to the old one, its layout differs significantly – most notably in the ratio of the outdoor to indoor waiting areas. This shift reflects changes in traveler behavior over the years.

The investor observed that passengers are spending less and less time inside the terminal, often arriving just before their bus departs. This trend is largely driven by the rise of online ticketing, which has eliminated the need for early arrivals and long lines. Additionally, extended layovers between connecting buses have become increasingly rare, thanks to the growing number of transport options and better coordination between carriers.

As a result, the project’s key feature is a covered outdoor waiting area, fully visible from the road, designed to help travelers quickly orient themselves and navigate the station with ease.
