How can a mistake be intentional, and chance become a tool? Segment is an experimental ceramic project that deliberately challenges traditional production methods. Its core principle lies in omitting the model during mould creation – an intervention that allows space for chance and material intuition.
The casting cavity is formed by directly drilling into the mould, producing delicate surfaces that bear visible traces of the process. These textures cannot be replicated using standard techniques, giving each piece authenticity and unpredictability.
The collection consists of five ceramic objects arranged in a size gradation. Each piece carries the visual imprint of its making and preserves the unique character of handmade craftsmanship.
