Snidanishna is a café and farm shop in Kharkiv, Ukraine, conceived as a spatial reinterpretation of Ukrainian cultural identity. Designed by IK-architects and completed in 2024, the project transforms traditional materials and vernacular principles into a contemporary architectural language. The layout follows the logic of a traditional Ukrainian house, with a central entrance and two main halls, creating a clear and welcoming spatial structure.
Roofing shingles become sculptural wall elements, while natural reed forms a large-scale installation. Over 90% of the interior elements were crafted by Ukrainian manufacturers and artisans, supporting local production and sustainable design. The project bridges heritage and modern minimalism, shaping a culturally rooted yet contemporary hospitality space.
