The Mountain House is a fully biological solid wood private home, planned with the goal to reinterpret the alpine hut in contemporary terms. Light effects and light incidence played a preponderant role in the planning of this one-family house. Building openings and generous windows allow for considerable light incidence and a unique light mood in the various rooms. Despite the small building volume, the inside of the house appears spacious and bright, even with little sunlight. Comfortable wood floors, smooth textiles and subtle colors combine with a plain, minimal interior design, thus creating a harmonious home in a timelessly modern alpine-hut flair.
