The KIDA Collection, designed by Stephen Burks for DEDON, celebrates visual delight and tactile experience. It marks DEDON’s first use of wrapped DEDON Fiber, creating an organic, airy form that is inviting. Inspired by the century-old weaving traditions of DEDON’s artisans in the Philippines, KIDA blends modern design with cultural heritage.

Each piece is crafted in DEDON’s facilities. Building on the success of the 2021 KIDA hanging lounge chair, the armchair and new lounge chair and footstool elevate the collection. Designed for relaxation and conversation, they feature ergonomic design and luxurious upholstery. Available in three striped colorways, KIDA suits diverse settings, from coastal villas to woodland retreats. Stephen Burks, inspired by collaboration with DEDON’s weavers, aimed to create a design that feels open and expressive.

His approach transforms color into a material, with DEDON Fiber adding both color and protection. KIDA is characterized by its lightweight yet sturdy, powder-coated aluminum frame, wrapped in innovative DEDON Fiber “touch”. Burks sought to express the feeling of floating in furniture, creating a frame that is supportive and open.
