The Seattle Ultrasonics C-200 is the world’s first ultrasonic chef’s knife designed for the home kitchen. Developed by founder Scott Heimendinger, it adapts industrial-grade resonance technology to make precision cutting significantly more effortless. Piezoelectric crystals in the handle vibrate the blade over 30.000 times per second.
These microscopic oscillations reduce friction, allowing the knife to glide through food with up to 50% less force. The vibration helps food release from the blade, providing superior release for sticky items like soft cheeses or potatoes. Traditional Feel: The 8-inch blade is crafted from Japanese AUS-10 stainless steel (60 HRC). Vibrations are isolated to the blade, so the handle remains steady and comfortable to hold. Power & Maintenance: The C-200 is IP65 water-resistant and safe for hand-washing. It uses a removable 1100mAh Li-ion battery that charges via USB-C or an optional Wireless Charging Tile made from solid mahogany.
