ab magazine (arhitektov bilten / architect’s Bulletin) is an international magazine for the theory of architecture. As Slovenia’s oldest scientific and theoretical journal in the field, it has opened space for professional and public dialogue on architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, spatial practices, and policies since 1964.

What began as a bulletin of the Architectural Association of Ljubljana grew into an influential theoretical and professional magazine, offering a critical voice on domestic and international spatial practices. Over six decades, it has become a key media platform for reflecting on Slovenian architectural and spatial production.

With a new editorial board taking over in 2025, the magazine is building on its legacy as a contemporary, layered platform connecting professional knowledge with dynamic public discourse. Its mission is to bridge the professional and public worlds through theoretical and critical thinking, joining design and knowledge to tackle today’s spatial challenges.
