Candy enters the workplace as a thoughtful, sculptural solution for seating and boundary creation, helping shape interior spaces. Candy’s sweeping curves, clean lines, and simple forms combine to evoke a sense of clarity and calm. Drawing from designer Carole Baijings’ work as a colorist, Candy also offers an expressive fusion of shape and color.
The collection’s form is born from analog experimentation and is enriched by chromatic shifts and layered compositions. Candy’s continuous modular elements and systems logic reveal opportunities for a diverse range of interior compositions, such as serpentine curves, freestanding islands, and straight banquette or café seating. The name Candy captures the emotional intent behind the design. “When you see it, it makes you smile,” says Candy designer Carole Baijings. In the realm of performance, Candy elements install like a system. Bases are joined, leveled, and wired, and upholstered assemblies then attach to a plinth base on site.
This unique sequence considers the challenges often faced with modular lounge, allowing for easy and fast installation. With its prominent veneer or laminate back option, Candy offers architectural qualities that define, divide, and enhance space. All Candy units are fully upholstered and finished on all sides. Combined with concealed ganging, this allows for day 2 or day 200 reconfiguration, without the need for new parts or components.
