VERVLY Toothbrush for the Developmentally Disabled by BUYRUS DESIGN

The toothbrush is designed for adolescents with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. We collaborated with dentists, hygienists, and parents of individuals with developmental disabilities to generate ideas and design the product.

Key features include a thick grip for a firmer hold, a hands-free hole in the grip to allow the caregiver to hold another object with one hand, a bite block to gently open the individual’s mouth, and a toothbrush body wrapped in non-toxic silicone to protect gums. The design combines these features into a soft, organic shape, making brushing time more enjoyable for both the caregiver and the individual.
