Jure Kotnik Architecture, Slovenia

Jure Kotnik is an architect, editor, and consultant with broad international experience in design, research, and architectural policy. He first gained recognition for his innovative work in container architecture, which led to several publications and awards. His focus later expanded to educational architecture, where he is known for his work on school and preschool infrastructure projects in collaboration with governments, international organizations, and private clients.

Kotnik was part of Expo 2020 in Dubai, where he designed the interior of the Slovenian pavilion, and is now part of the design team for the Slovenian pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka. He is the author of several books on container and educational architecture and has received multiple international awards, including the Europe 40 Under 40 and the Gold Medal of the Minsk Biennale. He currently serves as a guest lecturer in the Urban Transitions program at De Vinci Education in Paris.
