WoodWorm

Wood Worm is a versatile sculptural furniture piece that functions as a low console, coffee table, or bench. It features two concrete cast legs and two wooden components: a tabletop and a shelf. True to its name, Wood Worm relies on wood to achieve its full functionality, akin to being “fed” by the concrete cast. This design explores material contrasts, precision, and craftsmanship.

The assembly process is intuitive, with each part naturally falling into place. Concrete legs have slots for the wooden shelf, and extrusions serve as dowels for the tabletop. As the terrazzo details emerge through the wood, they create a seamless continuation of the cast legs. These details highlight a harmonious blend of materials and underscore the precision and ambition behind the design.
