Simplicity was key in creating this light piece, as we aimed to introduce a dimming method that fosters a personal connection with the user through the zip-lock mechanism. By adjusting the zip-fastener to a preferred setting, users can tailor the light to suit their needs and current scenario. This interaction encourages frequent adjustments, allowing users to “dress” the lamp multiple times throughout its use, thereby deepening their relationship with the piece.
The possibilities are endless, as users control the balance between direct, indirect, and translucent light in their personal space. Additionally, the piece is highly mobile, allowing for easy repositioning in the home as preferences change.
