NELUMBO HOTEL

Inspired by the lotus flower — a symbol of life, purity and natural beauty — the architecture of Nelumbo unfolds from the geometry of its petals. The building gently follows the natural contours of the hillside, opening toward the landscape like a series of petals resting on the slope, where each space captures light, air and views of the Ionian Sea.
Located on the natural slopes of Dhërmi, the 43-room retreat is conceived as an organic continuation of the terrain rather than an intervention that dominates it. Curved terracotta volumes emerge from the hillside, creating an architectural language that balances brutal elegance with biomorphic softness.
Spaces are designed to cultivate calm and sensory connection with nature — from the spa areas to pools reflecting the changing light of the afternoon. Natural materials such as stone, wood, clay and woven fibers create interiors filled with warmth, light and texture, shaping an experience that feels both grounded and contemplative.

EPIDAMN

Epidamn is envisioned as a contemporary sanctuary where nature, architecture, and human experience merge into a unified spatial narrative. Located within the pristine coastal landscape of Ksamil, the project seeks to create a retreat that celebrates the harmony between the built environment and the surrounding natural ecosystem.
The architectural language of Epidamn is inspired by organic forms and natural materials. Stone, clay, and wood form the core of the material palette, allowing the architecture to emerge as a natural extension of the landscape rather than an imposition upon it. Soft, fluid geometries and textured surfaces echo the rhythms of the surrounding terrain, establishing a dialogue between architecture, land, and sea.
The structures are conceived as sculptural volumes that blend seamlessly with the environment. Through the use of contemporary construction techniques and natural materials, the project explores a sustainable architectural approach that balances innovation with tradition. The spatial organization creates a sequence of intimate and collective spaces that encourage tranquility, reflection, and connection with nature.
At the heart of the project lies the concept of experience. Epidamn is not only a resort, but a journey of sensory discovery. Open terraces, private accommodations, wellness spaces, and communal gathering areas are carefully designed to foster moments of contemplation, creativity, and relaxation.
By integrating architecture, art, gastronomy, and landscape, Epidamn proposes a new vision of contemporary hospitality—one that emphasizes balance, well-being, and a deep connection with the natural world. The project ultimately aspires to become a modern temple of serenity, where visitors can reconnect with both nature and themselves.

THE LIVING FORM

The interior unfolds as a continuous spatial landscape rather than a sequence of rooms. Inspired by the quiet intelligence of natural forms, the apartment is shaped through fluid surfaces and soft transitions that guide movement gently through the space.
At the heart of the apartment lies a sculptural core — a spatial nucleus that organizes the interior and subtly separates the living area from the kitchen. This central element becomes more than structure; it acts as a calm architectural anchor around which everyday life circulates.
Walls dissolve into shelves, niches and furniture, blurring the boundary between architecture and interior design. Surfaces bend and flow, transforming the apartment into a single continuous form rather than a collection of separate spaces.
Natural light moves slowly across the white sculptural volumes, meeting the warmth of dark wooden floors and metallic accents. The atmosphere becomes tactile and contemplative — an interior that feels less constructed and more discovered.
The apartment ultimately reads as a living form of space, where architecture behaves almost like an organism shaped by movement, light and material.

Idea Shefkiu
Some of the most intelligent structures in the world were never designed by architects.
They grow quietly in nature, shaping themselves through time, adapting, responding, evolving. In these systems, nothing is accidental and nothing is excessive. Every pattern carries purpose. Every structure holds a kind of silent logic.
Observing this quiet intelligence changed the way I began to understand design. It encouraged me to look beyond conventional architectural routines and to search for ideas where design exists without drawings, without blueprints, yet with remarkable precision.
My name is Idea Shefkiu, and I am an architectural, interior, and product designer from Prishtina, Kosovo.
My professional path has grown within MOLOS, a studio that has offered me trust, collaboration, and the freedom to explore ideas as a young designer. It is an environment where curiosity is not only accepted but actively encouraged — a culture that still remains rare in many architectural practices in Kosovo.
Within this space I explore digital fabrication, 3D printing, visualization, and 3D modeling, while researching bio-inspired materials and their potential in architecture and interior design. For me, these tools are not just technologies, they are ways of questioning how architecture can evolve — how materials can behave differently, how forms can emerge from experimentation and how design can move closer to the knowledge embedded we already see in nature.
Because sometimes the most innovative ideas in architecture are not invented —they are simply discovered.
