Motovun Villas

2 Villas located in village Zamask, in middle Istria, Republic of Croatia, near well-known medieval city Motovun. Concept – research and preserve/recreate all the elements of historic style on the facade and in the interior such as floors and walls. This way the studio created an envelope with a strong reference to history of the Motovun area. They added mid-century modern elements which would correspond perfectly to the context with its organic forms and textures. This contrast between old and new, historic and contemporary created a strong visual identity, a statement, timeless, sophisticated luxury space which these villas certainly deserve.
