Award-winning product designer Anna Marešová and Czech designer jewellery manufacturer MOOYY have introduced a collection called Champagne. Anna Marešová, best known for her Whoop-de-doo brand of intimate products for women and the design of the T3Coupé tram, has designed her first jewellery collection for MOOYY. “Making my own jewellery was a little secret wish of mine. When the MOOYY brand approached me to design an entire collection for them, I was happy to say yes,” the designer comments on the beginnings of the collaboration. The Champagne collection took one year to develop. The inspiration for the jewellery design was champagne wine, as a symbol of fun, lightness and sparkle. “I’m not the kind of designer who would go into the woods to be inspired by nature. I’m more interested in practical things and mechanisms that work; like the champagne wire, which is quite subtle yet strong enough to hold a cork with pressurised liquid,” Anna Marešová describes her inspiration. Using typical elements of champagne wine, she presents shapes that surprise with fresh elegance. In the two product lines Muselet and Bouchon, Anna Marešová transforms seemingly ordinary shapes into modern jewellery that can be freely combined while enhancing the beauty of the wearer. The Champagne collection is made of sterling silver in three colourways Blanc de Blancs, Vintage and Rosé.
