Metamorphosis IVF Serum Clinic, Athens

‘Metamorphosis’ is the refurbishment of an existing building into a state-of-the-art clinic; a true transformation. PEOPLE’s team redesigned the existing structure into a contemporary space that creates a nest for the visitors of IVF Serum Clinic. Our approach to design was holistic. In keeping with the principles of sustainable design, we kept all structural elements of the building, while upgrading all the rest. Our team designed the layout of the floors to maximise efficiency, by incorporating two cells in the heart of the first and second floors.
Our design redefines the building’s presence in the street. The façade’s cladding, comprised of aluminium beams and wooden slats, creates an enclave for the building and its outdoor space, while providing shading in the formerly sun exposed glass facades. Its form flows into space while it is reflected in the landscape and water feature, completing the transformation with the landscape, external installations and planting.
