We live in an era of excess, where products multiply faster than our real needs. It’s also a time when every designer wants to build their own brand, resulting in countless small-scale options and fragmented choices. Although designers are aware of sustainability, buyers often struggle to stay consistent: choosing one product or brand among so many feels impossible. What if we strengthened collaborations instead? If brands teamed up to create products where each contributes its own expertise (in upholstery, wood, metal, or textiles) and we could form meaningful synergies. The result could be richer, more enjoyable designs that don’t force buyers to commit to just one brand, especially when budgets are limited.
