LIÒN, a restaurant and cocktail bar, is part of a historical building from the Rationalist era in the heart of Rome, halfway between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. LIÒN, a restaurant and cocktail bar, is part of a historical building from the Rationalist era in the heart of Rome, halfway between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. In spite of its position, it does not cater to tourists, the owners have stayed true to their vision to provide the city with a cosmopolitan design venue that stands out for its international allure in a city steeped in history and tourism.
Ornamental motifs with a contemporary design create a universe of ethereal and intangible elements. The circle is the matrix of the dynamic elements, with soft and sinuous lines, which characterize the interiors, from the subtle and arched friezes that envelop the space, to the deep three-dimensional lozenge screen, the colorful boiserie, and the curved supports that cradle the bottle holder suspended on the counter.
The bold lines and the saturated colors in maximalist style, contrast with the austerity of the Palazzo that encompassed it, to give back to the city fragments of the Dolce Vita. LIÒN is a universe of materials, colors and geometries that blend together with great formal coherence to offer customers an all-engaging experience between design and cuisine.
