Hangy

Hangy is a multifunctional furniture system that combines hangers, a seating bench, shelves, shoe storage, and an integrated NFC chip for digital interaction. Its minimalist design, crafted from solid oak, conveys the warmth of natural material while ensuring exceptional durability. A single stick supports more than 80 kg, certified according to EU standards (SIST EN).

Handcrafted with a commitment to sustainable production, Hangy is made from locally sourced wood with minimal transport. Offcuts are repurposed into smaller products (Hangy Pocket), while sawdust is compressed into heating pellets – resulting in a near-zero-waste process.

More than just furniture, Hangy is a modular system that adapts to each user’s needs and preferences, fitting seamlessly into a wide range of interiors. It brings together three generations of the Kavčič family’s woodworking tradition with architectural design and modern user demands.

International recognitions – such as being a finalist for the WIPO Global Awards and the DesignEuropa Awards, as well as a nominee for the German Design Award – confirm Hangy’s innovative and timeless character. It is also a registered model under EUIPO, ensuring originality and protection.
