Inspired by two artists with contrasting styles recording a song in the studio, the Good Day chaise lounge chair contrasts a thin floating seat suspended under heavier structural legs. The faceted form allows for a thin edge of the seat that makes the chaise appear visually light and floating yet remains grounded by the thicker leg structure. The sand cast aluminum seat and legs include an interior steel frame to add strength. The leather or upholstered pads have a carbon fiber backer. The leather is formed over a mold to achieve a clean look. Magnets are embedded in the casting and seat pad to keep the pads secure to the frame and allow for easy removal for cleaning or to be replaced with a different color scheme.
