Flaar 24 sailing boat

The Flaar 24 is a high-performance, all-carbon sailing boat that combines the best attributes of larger and smaller vessels. Measuring 24 feet (7,2 meters) in length, it strikes a balance between the spaciousness and stability of larger boats and the nimbleness and speed of smaller dinghies.

This sailing boat is distinguished by its impressive low weight of just 730 kg, including the keel, thanks to its full carbon construction. This lightweight design not only enhances performance but also simplifies transportation and launching. A notable feature of the Flaar 24 is its self-hoisting keel, which operates via an electric actuator, eliminating the need for external lifting equipment and enabling use in shallow waters or areas with seaweed.

The boat’s rig is designed with diamond shrouds, which provide rigidity and stability without the need for backstays, allowing for the use of a long genoa and improving upwind performance. Inside, the Flaar 24 offers comfortable accommodations for up to four people, making it ideal for cruising. Additionally, it supports flexible motorization options, including both built-in electric motors and outboard motors.

The Flaar 24’s innovative features and design have earned it a nomination for the European Yacht of the Year 2024 Award in the Special Boats category, following rigorous testing by a jury of journalists from 12 countries.
