Who Are the BIG SEE Architecture Nominators?

BIG SEE Architecture Nominators are architects, professors, researchers, editors and curators from Southeast Europe – a region we understand as one of the world’s creative edges.

Edges are places where conditions are tougher, expectations higher, and ingenuity grows from necessity. They exist everywhere; Southeast Europe is simply the edge we are cultivating first.

Coming from leading universities, studios and cultural environments, our nominators understand what it means to create with limited means, complex contexts and a strong sense of responsibility. They recognise the qualities that define meaningful architecture today: clarity, integrity, imagination, and the ability to turn constraints into intelligent design.

Each nominator selects one outstanding young individual under 30 from their country – someone who shows early architectural promise, curiosity and resilience shaped by the edge they come from. Their insight ensures that emerging talents, who might otherwise remain unseen, receive recognition at the most formative moment of their careers.

Together, this nominator network strengthens the cultural and professional foundations of architecture in Southeast Europe – and lays the groundwork for supporting young talents from creative edges around the world in the years ahead.
