ARCATE

Arcade is a collection made up of a chest of drawers, a chest of drawers, and a bedside table. Santa Fosca church, the Torcello and Murano basilicas: in an austere architectural style, the refined lightness of the arches follow on from each other at a constant rhythm. The smaller islands of the lagoon and its Romanesque buildings. The curved and straight lines, the solids and voids, the austerity and lightness; and, above all, the refined lightness of the arches which follow on from each other at a constant rhythm. The Arcade collection of furniture represents a stated homage to one of the essential architectural elements – the arch in its typical variation of Romanesque constructions, present in various areas of the Veneto region such as some of the smaller islands of the Venetian lagoon – consisting of seven-drawer chests, dressers, and bedside tables. It is a family of furniture with vibrant surfaces and a strong architectural vocation.
