ADONIS bookshelf is an intelligent, space- and resource-saving piece of furniture with a strong sculptural appeal. Rather than lying horizontally to place the books on it, the board stands vertically, and the books are placed inside. This innovative design mirrors the silhouette of the person who stands in front of it. ADONIS treads an all-new path in how books are stored: they stand on an edge and are at the same time put on show in a frame. Stage your favourite books!
ADONIS was developed in Graz, Austria, and is manufactured in Styria from Finnish plywood. The object is fixed with two brackets at a defined distance in front of the wall. The vertical load is transferred to the floor. The curvature of the object allows for housing books of various widths.
The materials used in the ADONIS bookshelf include birch multiplex, phenolic resin-coated stainless sheet steel, and honed finishes.
