A café in the morning, a bistro during the day and a bar in the evening, Zazie Bistro&Bar opened in Budapest’s new landmark skyscraper, MOL Campus, designed by Foster+Partners. The location itself enchanted interior designer este’r partners, as different eras of history are coined here: while having a meal in the latest masterpiece of contemporary architecture, you can see the former factory buildings of the industrial zone of the riverbank and also enjoy the closeness of nature.
The interior design team was inspired by the experience of rowing on the Danube: the feeling when the river flows under you with a soothing slowness, you enter and exit the reeds and new, small worlds open up everywhere. They aimed to translate this into the language of design with a space that calms, shows comfort, yet invigorates, depending on the time of day you arrive. A decorative burnt brick wall, the textile design curtain floating from the ceiling above, the unique design of carpets and textiles of the restaurant era mix sophisticated contemporary solutions and a flow of nature.
