With a traditional Japanese wood gluing technique using rice, a collection was made that is respectful to wood and considerate to health and nature.
Sokui mirror inspired by Japanese summer fans, the mirrors are the first set of home accessories for the Sokui collection of sustainable furniture made using the traditional Japanese technique of gluing wood with rice. Designed in collaboration with Filip Krampla and Huy Pham.
A sheet of polished stainless steel replaces glass, which allows for a bezelless fitting and grants protection from superstitions involving 7 year long misfortunes (czech superstition).Sokui collection is a sustainable alternative to current manufacturing processes.
