Rosetti Aparthotel, nestled within Bucharest’s eclectic urban fabric, stands as a discreet yet significant presence, symbolizing the delicate balance between past and future. Positioned amidst a blend of old and new structures, it offers a unique perspective on urban development. The project, born out of the city’s traditional urban fabric and architectural constraints, embodies a harmonious fusion of old and new elements. The structure, rising from a narrow plot of land, seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment. Valuable elements from the old house, such as its main facades and oriental cupola, are preserved, blending with modern design elements. The accommodation area, discreetly set back from the street, coexists with the reception volume, creating a dynamic interplay between past and present.
The hotel features 24 studios, each thoughtfully designed to maximize space and functionality. Four duplexes on the top floor offer a unique living experience. The design, characterized by its organic nature and varied layouts, defies typical hotel conventions. Terraces and loggias, strategically incorporated into the building’s design, enhance the guest experience, offering tranquil outdoor spaces amidst the urban setting. The East facade showcases organically shaped French balconies, adding depth and character to the building’s exterior. Both the exterior and interior architecture are defined by meticulous attention to detail and the interplay of light and shadow. Riffles, balustrades, and French balconies create a visually engaging facade, while the alternation of wide and narrow gaps allows natural light to penetrate the interior, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
