The Grand Hall of INK Pula, formerly known as the Istrian National Theatre and originally constructed in 1903, has undergone a comprehensive renovation that respects its rich heritage and local significance. Key architectural interior elements, such as the gilded decorative mouldings and woodwork details, the unique green upholstery, and the distinctive chandelier, have been meticulously restored, preserving the hall’s character and charm.
The renovation has enhanced the comfort of the seating arrangement, ensuring that the Grand Hall meets today’s standards. It now boasts a seating capacity of 566, allowing it to host a variety of performances and events.
The stage has been upgraded with advanced technical equipment, enriching the overall experience for both performers and audiences. Additionally, the hall features improved acoustics, making it an ideal venue for concerts and theatrical productions.
The renovated Grand Hall not only serves as a focal point for cultural and academic activities at INK Pula but also stands as a symbol of the institution’s commitment to innovation and community engagement, making it a cornerstone of Pula’s cultural landscape.
