Suspended among the treetops of Uvita’s lush hillside, Rancho Pacífico Treehouses is a collection of four elevated jungle retreats, designed to immerse guests in the surrounding rainforest. Each structure rises 4 to 6 meters above the ground and is carefully positioned to preserve the existing trees and natural terrain. Rather than dominate the landscape, the architecture recedes into it through a restrained palette of dark timber, weathered finishes, and natural stone that blends with the forest canopy.
Floor to ceiling pivoting doors open completely to private terraces, dissolving the boundary between interior and nature. Compact layouts flow toward expansive ocean views, while open air bathrooms strengthen the sensory connection to the jungle’s sounds, light, and breeze. Set lightly on slender steel columns, the buildings minimize ground disturbance and allow air to circulate beneath the structures, creating natural, passive cooling suited to the tropical climate. The result is a quiet architecture that elevates living among the trees while respecting the surrounding landscape.
