Architectural Competitions: Dancing on the Edges of the Possible
While competitions are built upon the process of composing precise frameworks for a specific program, the most successful entries represent a dialogue between both radical freshness and site-sensitivity. Therefore, architectural competitions become platforms for collective self-transcendence: they stimulate in the best local practices the desire to become actors in the building of a better world. The aim of the meeting is to discuss and learn from the varieties of approaching and organizing architectural competitions in different local communities.
