Jadric Architektur, in collaboration with Korean partner 1990uao (Yoon Geun Ju), has been selected to realize the Seoul Photographic Art Museum, winner of the international design competition. Conceived as a sculptural landmark along Chang-dong’s emerging cultural mile, the museum’s twisting, monolithic form embodies the fusion of photography and architecture – light shaping space, form capturing motion.

Its dynamic geometry evokes a frozen snapshot, a spatial gesture that engages urban flows and defines a new civic focus. Merging seamlessly with the public square, the building becomes a walkable landscape, inviting visitors to linger and interact. Inside, fluid spatial sequences connect exhibition zones based on the white cube principle, allowing maximum flexibility and intuitive circulation. Education spaces crown the structure, while an innovative lighting system of backlit concrete ribs transforms the façade into a living interplay of light and form, reinforcing the museum’s identity as a beacon of contemporary culture.
