Nivy Centrum

Nivy Bus Station is a unique project located at an important place. Together with Nivy Mall and Nivy Bus Station, the work has brought a new life and a specific atmosphere to the surroundings and the Slovak capital itself. It helps shape a new vibrant urban boulevard and brings modern projects designed by world famous and Slovak architects to an area which was neglected for a long time. HB Reavis, Benoy architects and SIEBERT + TALAŠ, a Slovak architects´ firm, have built a new district with regard to sustainability, ecology and functional transport, with a feeling for social responsibility and infrastructure, which is meaningful within the local community. The surroundings of the work represented a specific challenge. Architects designed the Mlynské nivy Street, a 565-metre-long line, as a modern urban boulevard and elevated a demanding transport solution to a valuable city street full of greenery. The green public space on the roof of the Nivy Bus Station brings an original place for both work and private meetings. Schools located nearby may even use the open space as a temporary classroom, with beehives, community gardens or a botanic path. Moreover, visitors may buy fresh food at the biggest marketplace in Slovakia or grill their own delicacies on the roof.
