In a time of excess, what we truly need is a direct connection with the earth. The way to restore balance is to reconnect with our roots. It is essential to develop and create using pure materials, drawing ever closer to the essence of what surrounds us. As Nader Khalili stated, we must build with the earth beneath our feet, thereby honoring our origins.

I am often asked if raw earth can be durable. My answer is that objects should have a useful life proportional to their purpose. Yes, raw earth can last, but it is vital to stop thinking that objects need to be eternal; each object has its own life. I firmly believe these objects have a soul. When I create them, I envision them as beings destined to welcome, to bring beauty and wonder, entering spaces with respect and delicacy, never making themselves noticed.

So, what is essential is right under our feet!
