MG is a native company leading the production of concrete and other construction materials. This project retrofits and transforms their original 1.000 m2 building into its headquarters. Through selective demolition and strategic expansion, new offices, meeting areas, and collaborative spaces were introduced, while preserving the old structure. A new concrete wing consolidates the original building, now organized around a double-height courtyard with steel columns and a floating concrete roof.

The new space functions as circulation gallery, exhibition loft, gathering area, and light well. A 500 m2 annex houses a training center and lab. Built with prefabricated concrete panels over steel framing, it connects to the main building via a covered garden gallery. The design strategy emphasized reuse, environmental performance, and brand identity. Old additions and redundant areas were removed to restore / add openings and maximize natural light. The original façade is mediated by a new concrete-and-block “mask” at the main entrance. Exposed concrete and CMU blocks celebrate the company’s legacy and bridge old and new. The campus harvests rainwater and generates 100% of its electricity via PV panels. This is the first phase of a larger industrial master plan.
