At first glance, it appears as a delicate metal ring, drawn from a slender line. Its name is ichi-ring. ichi-ring is a working tool born from a single slender stainless-steel wire. Despite its minimalist appearance, it is designed to be tough, flexible, and reliable for everyday work. The form consists of two loops of different sizes.
The proportions between the smaller and larger loops are based on the Golden Ratio – not as a numerical statement, but as an intuitive balance that feels natural. This subtle harmony gives the ring a calm presence, allowing it to be used daily without visual distraction. With an overall size of approximately 60 mm, ichi-ring fits naturally in the palm of the hand. Its compact scale ensures easy handling and portability, allowing it to be carried in pockets or work pouches without getting in the way.
ichi-ring does not prescribe a fixed way of use. It connects and organizes keys or tools according to each user’s habits and workflow. Because it never interrupts movement or concentration, users gradually come to rely on it – until it becomes a quiet presence that stays close at hand. Made from a single material with no moving parts, ichi-ring is built for long-term use. By concentrating structure and function into a single, continuous line, the design reflects a belief that pursuing simplicity itself leads to trust and durability in tools. Free from decoration or unnecessary complexity, ichi-ring is grounded in clarity, honesty, and long-term usability.
