Situated on the Adriatic Sea in the small town of Pakoštane, the Heritage Hotel Maškovića Han grants easy access to the surrounding nature and enables wonderful views. The construction of the hotel complex was completed in 2017. As the biggest monument of Turkish architecture on Croatian ground, a former luxurious dignitary residence and inn, it is now in its renovated state a modern and stylish Heritage Hotel. As such it offers 16 guestrooms, a restaurant, a reception, and a retail store in a harmonious historic ensemble. The hotel melds Croatian design and production. All furniture and chairs including tables were made from Croatian or European walnut wood, in combination with rustic stained rusted metal and painted metal. The complex with its archaeological site includes an original Turkish bath and a museum. Overall the repurposed historic building integrates beautifully into the Croation Mediterranean countryside – not least because of the careful update and renovation.
