This project explores what truly drives our practice: creating spaces with soul, places that tell a story, open possibilities, and move beyond standardized solutions. Rooted in a total design approach, it shapes living, evolving environments, from vision to detail. The transformation of the Stanislas Institute addresses climate change while rethinking outdoor spaces across the entire school journey, from preschool to high school. The site was highly constrained by intense daily use and a dense network of underground utilities.
Every space was designed to plant and depave as much as possible. Large-scale depaving restores water infiltration, while dense tree planting creates islands of freshness, using hardy, drought-resistant species requiring no irrigation. Soil is treated as a living resource, decompacted, enriched, and left to evolve naturally. All outdoor furniture is wooden, custom-designed, and multifunctional, ensuring frugality and coherence. Engraved words accompany students throughout their educational path, conveying shared values and meaning. Co-designed with teachers, students, and staff, the campus becomes a living, educational landscape where resilience, identity, and quiet, everyday poetry take root.
