Emerald Residence Restaurant, Budapest

On the Szervita Square of Budapest, at the place of the former telephone centre, the investor Biggeorge Property dreamt the Emerald Residence Apartments and boutique hotel in a strong architectural unit with the Church of St. Anne, offering of the most precious estates of the city. The project’s interior design concept was created by este’r partners.
The interior design team led the iconic emerald colour of the Residence through the internal spaces which, combined with geometric surfaces and materials, appears with elegance worthy of gemstones. Emerald velvets encounter champagne colours, metals and shiny marbles rich in veins, which is complemented by the use of natural walnut wood, and the game of mirrors.
Este’r partners team worked with high-quality brands: the velvet tapestry of Dutch Walltextile and the characteristic furniture of Erba Italia, and the Virgola armchair were planned to the interior spaces and complemented by such unique solutions as Kriska’s curtain structure in the restaurant, made of hanging chain.

What makes this project one-of-a-kind?
The soul of the project is the exciting and functional configuration of space: the recessed island of the lobby, the offsetting of planes in the restaurant and the connection between the lobby and the garden verging on the church. Besides the exciting spatial connections, the use of noble materials, the velvet tapestry, and the uniquely designed furniture and spatial elements create the proper, elegant harmony. The rebirth of Budapest’s historical building is spectacular: high class elegance and modern solutions represent the character of the city that we love the most: the harmony of old and new.
